CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston Sports Network caught up with women's basketball director of operations David White to get his thoughts on his first few months on the job. White was the head manager for the North Carolina women's basketball team in 2011 and also helped in operations at Wake Forest this past year.

What were your thoughts when Coach Adair asked you about joining her staff at the College of Charleston?

"I volunteered with Coach A and Coach Clark at Wake Forest this past year and when she came to me with the opportunity to come to the College of Charleston I was excited to come and start my career. I felt like she was a great person to be with to start my career and to learn from. I was very excited that she gave me this opportunity."

What were your initial impressions of seeing the athletics facilities and campus and city of Charleston?

"Everything is beautiful. I didn't' know what to expect coming here. I've been at ACC schools for five years. The arena is top notch, probably best in the Southern Conference. The campus is nice in downtown Charleston. There are so many neat things to do in Charleston and lots of great places to eat as well. I think that anyone that comes and sees the campus, city and arena are going to fall in love with the place like I have."
