Adair, Wojcik Participate in Sprite Spark Parks Project Kickoff Event

CHARLESTON, S.C. -  College of Charleston women's basketball head coach Natasha Adair and men's basketball head coach Doug Wojcik took part in a kickoff event for the Sprite Spark Parks Project to Refurbish Charleston parks on Wednesday at the Martin Park Basketball Court.

Sprite Spark Parks, part of the Coca-Cola Company's multi-year nationwide $2 effort to build and restore places where teens, families and communities are active outdoors, officially tipped off locally today at Martin Park, one of three Charleston parks the public can vote on for a $15,000 makeover.

Local supermarket chain, Piggly Wiggly is supporting the program with in-store signage, through its website and various other promotional efforts.

To vote for a park as part of the program go to www.spritesparkparks.com/pigglywiggly from now until Sept. 30.

Both Adair and Wojcik addressed a crowd of supporters and talked about the important of having places kids can go to exercise and the value of sports in society.
