CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's basketball team made some new friends as they spent time at the Charleston Area Senior Citizens Ansonborough House on Thursday.

Wearing their Santa hats the team served lunch to the residents and enjoyed their company with the room filled with laughter and smiles.

"We had a great time visiting with the residents today," CofC head coach Natasha Adair said. "Anytime we can bring a smile and make someone's day better we love to do it. We enjoyed the opportunity to visit with them and we hope to see them at our games in the near future."

After lunch the team signed posters and schedule cards and posed for a picture with the residents and Clyde the Cougar in front of a Christmas tree.

The Cougars are back at home in TD Arena Dec. 28 when they take on Richmond at 7:00 p.m.

"One of the best things about my experience in Charleston so far has been the support of the College, the community and the family feel," Adair said. "I want to make sure we give back and spend time building relationships in this great community."
