CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's soccer team and head coach Christian Michner have released their spring playing schedule. The schedule features seven matches, three of which to be played at Patriots Point.
"We are excited about the schedule we've been able to put together for this spring," said Michner. "It will be extremely competitive for our players as we test ourselves against some big-name opponents from some of the NCAA's toughest conferences."
The Cougars begin team training on Feb. 7 and open the playing schedule on Saturday, Feb. 26 with a match at crosstown-rival Charleston Southern.
After coming back from the students' spring break, the Cougars will travel to Columbia, S.C., for a pair of matches against the University of South Carolina and South Carolina State on Saturday, March 19.
The Cougars return home the following Saturday, March 26 to take on Coastal Carolina at Patriots Point at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, April 2, the women's soccer players will be volunteering with the Cooper River Bridge Run, the world-class 10-K foot race which promotes continuous physical activity and a healthy lifestyle through education and opportunity.
On Sunday, April 10, CofC will play a pair of games at Patriots Point against Kentucky and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The Cougars close the spring schedule with a match at Clemson on Saturday, April 16.
