2009: Played in 43 games with 35 starts, including five pitching appearances ... batted .297 with .398 slugging percentage and .359 on-base percentage ... had 35 hits, 15 runs, nine doubles, a home run and 20 RBIs along with 10 walks ... went 2-2 with 3.67 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 21.0 innings and four starts ... named First-Team All-Southern Conference and All-Freshman Team ... earned Southern Conference Player of the Week honors on April 27 ... kicked off five-game hitting streak with 2-for-4, RBI game in 9-6 victory over Georgia Southern (3/7) ... went 3-for-4 with two runs and a pair of doubles in 10-6 win at Coastal Carolina (3/22) ... had record setting day against Western Carolina (3/29), going 5-for-5 with two doubles, four RBI and two runs scored ... her five hits tied the program record for hits in a game, matching a feat accomplished by three other players in a 42-0 rout of Savannah State on February 11, 2004 ... her four RBIs and two doubles are currently career-highs ... was 2-for-4 with double and two RBIs in 7-2 victory at Appalachian State ... went 1-for-3 with career-high three runs scored, double and a walk vs. Coastal Carolina (4/15) ... had career-high seven game hitting streak from April 18-26 ... during that stretch, Forbes went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI vs. Elon (4/19) and demolished UNC Greensboro in a three-game series, going a combined 5-for-11 with eight RBIs and her first career home run ... in Game 1 against UNCG she went 2-for-4 with a career-high tying four RBIs and a home run ... followed that with the game-tying RBI and game-winning run in a 2-1 decision over the Spartans in which she earned the victory as a pitcher ... posted 2-for-3, three RBI outing in the series finale ... as a pitcher, threw 5.1 innings in first collegiate start vs. Coastal Carolina (4/15), holding the Chanticleers scoreless and limiting them to five hits through the first five innings ... pitched complete game, two-hit shutout, striking out six, at Charleston Southern in second start ... threw five scoreless, three-hit innings of relief and earned the victory against UNC Greensboro (4/25).

Gaither High School: Helped lead the Lady Cowboys to a two-year record of 44-13 as a starter at shortstop ... Gaither earned Regional Runner-Up honors in 2007 with a 23-7 record and was District Runner-Up at 21-6 in 2008 ... Western Conference First-Team selection at shortstop and All-Suncoast Honorable Mention as a designated hitter following senior season ... Tampa Tribune Parade of Athletes First-Team at shortstop and Gaither Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior ... batted .434 with 28 RBI, 43 hits, 10 doubles, three triples, two homeruns and had team-high .657 slugging percentage as a junior ... on the pitching rubber, went 2-2 with 2.93 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 28.2 innings ... as a senior, delivered a .432 average, 20 RBI, 24 runs, 35 hits, eight doubles, a .617 slugging percentage and .505 on-base percentage ... led team with seven stolen bases ... as a pitcher, Forbes went 6-2 with one save, a 1.29 ERA and struck out 34 batters in 43.1 innings.

Sickles High School: As a utility player, Forbes helped the Gryphons to a combined 29-16 record and back-to-back appearances in the 6A District 7 playoffs ... Sickles posted a 15-9 record in 2005 and improved to 14-7 a year later.

Personal: Born in Tampa, Fla. on January 9, 1990, Katie is the daughter of Mitchelle and Julia Forbes ... member of National Honor Society and the Sports Advisory Council ... community service has included volunteering at the Special Olypmics ... currently undecided on major.
