Wiggins recorded his fifth-career double-double in a tight loss at Georgia Southern on Saturday as he led the team with 17 points and tied a career high with 12 rebounds. Wiggins also had 17 points and nine boards at Davidson on Thursday night.

Newman opened the 2012 season with a singles victory against 58th-ranked Klara Vyskocilova of Clemson. Newman also paired with her sister, Christin, to earn a doubles victory over the 14th-ranked Tigers.
