GREENVILLE, N.C. - The College of Charleston swimming and diving teams were downed by East Carolina while the women bested Campbell at the Minges Natatorium.
The women fell to the Pirates by a 176-105 tally but were victorious over Campbell, 156-128. The men swam just ECU and fell, 173-110.
Sarah Boyle was the runner up in the 100-yard backstroke (59.62) as well as the 200-yard backstroke (2:10.71).
The Cougars touched in first and second in the 100-yard butterfly with Gracie Herlong (1:00.29) followed immediately by Boyle (1:01.07).
Haley Fitzpatrick won the three-meter diving event with a 157.95 mark.
April Coyne took second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:16.02).
Matt Sherrier was the first event winner for the Cougars with a 9:45.73 time in the 1,000-yard freestyle. He placed second in the 500-yard freestyle (4:43.59).
David Sherrier championed the 100-yard freestyle event with a 46.97 time. He also took second place in the 200-yard freestyle event with a 1:44.16 time.
Jake Irmiter took second in the 200-yard backstroke by touching at 1:59.53.
Derek Foltz claimed the one-meter diving crown by posting a 121.35 mark.
Next up, the Cougars will travel to Charlotte, N.C. for the Fall Frenzy over the weekend of Saturday, Nov. 20.
