CHARLESTON, S.C. - Senior Emily Smith (Rock Hill, S.C.) will travel to Clemson this weekend to compete in the high jump at the Bob Pollock Spring Invitational on May 5.
The high jump field will consist of 13 athletes and will be contested Saturday at 12:30p.m. at the Rock Norman Track & Field Complex on the campus on Clemson University.
Smith, who won the Southern Conference Championship in the high jump less than two weeks ago in Cullowhee, N.C., is tied for 37th on the NCAA DI East list with a mark of 1.75m (5-08.75 feet).
The top 48 in each event with marks set throughout the year qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Jacksonville, Fla., May 24-26. From there athletes qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championship.
