Cougars Finish Competition at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - Junior Kristen Wolfe won her section of the 1,500-meter run as the College of Charleston Women's Track & Field team concluded competition at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State.

Wolfe, who finished 24th overall clocked a time of 4:40.11 in the event, which is 109 meters short of a full mile. Her time is the second-best mark in school history behind the 4:36.37 ran by freshman Dena O'Brien at last weekend's Shamrock Invitational.

Freshman Christine Klinar, who set a new CofC record in the javelin throw at the Cougars last meet finished 15th in the event with a throw of 35.36 meters.

As the Cougars competed in many relay races over the course of this two-day meet, on the final day they placed 12th in the 4X800-meter relay with a time of 9:36.14

The Cougars are back in action next weekend as they travel to Spartanburg, S.C. Apr. 2 for the Terrier Relays.
