Cougars Conclude Competition at Tiger Paw Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's track & field team wrapped up competition at the 2012 Tiger Paw Invitational Saturday at Clemson.

The distance medley relay team made up of Kristen Wolfe, Alyssa Kowolenko, Dana Walsh and Dena O'Brien finished third in 12:21.68, the third fastest time in school history.

Jelain McArthur competed well in the triple jump as she jumped 11.03 meters, the sixth best mark in school history.

Freshman Hayley McMahon finished in 17th place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:24.09. Fellow freshman Tiffany Sisk finished 11th in the shot put with a heave of 12.52 meters.

Junior Chelsea Taylor finished ninth-place in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.31 meters.

In the 400-meter dash senior Alyssa D'Orazio ran 1:00.44, the ninth fastest time in school history. D'Orazio placed 23rd in the race. Her teammates, senior Laura Call finished 28th in the race with a time of 1:01.45.

Next up for the Cougars is the Southern Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship, hosted by Samford in Birmingham, Ala.
