CHARLESTON, S.C. - After a week off from competition, the College of Charleston sailing team gears up for the home-hosted SAISA Spring Coed Championships to be held on April 9-10 at the J. Stewart Walker Sailing Center located at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., as well as, the Friis-Marchiando Team Race hosted by Tufts and MIT in Boston, Mass.
The Cougars are currently ranked No. 2 in Sailing World's recent college coed rankings, presented by Sperry Top-Sider, while the CofC women are No. 15 as of April 7.
Real-time scoring from the Friis-Marchiando Team Race on Saturday and Sunday will be available on the MIT Sailing website at: http://sailing.mit.edu or by CLICKING HERE. Racing begins at 9:30 a.m. (ET).
For fans interested in supporting the Cougars and attending this weekend's home regatta, the best place to spectate is the outside wall of the marina at the Walker Sailing Center. Racing will take place right on the Cooper River by the marina in Charleston Harbor beginning at 10 a.m. (ET).
