CHARLESTON, S.C. - Junior men's basketball player Andrew Lawrence (London, England) and senior equestrian rider Danielle Huntsman (Elverson, Pa.) earned College of Charleston Student-Athlete of the Week honors sponsored by Piggly Wiggly for the week of Feb. 6.

Lawrence led College of Charleston to a 1-1 week on the road with a 99-98 double overtime loss at Elon on Feb. 2 and a 74-62 victory at Appalachian State on Feb. 4. Lawrence registered a career-high 32 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor, 5-of-9 from beyond the arc and 7-of-8 from the charity stripe against Elon. He also registered his third consecutive game in double figures with a game-high 24 points including 15 in the first half alone at Appalachian State. Lawrence drained a career-high six three-pointers with his entire first-half points coming from downtown. It marked his third career game with 20-or-more points. He also dished out seven assists with just four turnovers.

Huntsman won three events over the weekend as the Cougars climbed to within nine points of Savannah College of Art and Design in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Zone Five Region Three standings. She won her only event on Saturday when the Cougars finished second behind SCAD. On Sunday, Huntsman was best-in-class in both the Novice Fences (section B) and the Intermediate Flat (section A). She was the high-point rider of all competitors on Sunday.
