CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston equestrian team will send 10 riders to the Regional competition Saturday in hopes of taking the next step in qualifying for Nationals.
The top-two riders in each class will qualify for the Zone Five Championship, which in turn qualifies riders for the National Championship.
The Regional show on Saturday will be hosted by Central Florida.
CofC Head Coach Bob Story said he is eager to see what happens this weekend.
"This is the largest group we have ever qualified for Regionals and they will have to be at their best this weekend," Story said. "We have riders qualified in each of the eight classes offered with only the top two from each class moving on to the Zone Finals held at the beginning of April. This competition is truly made up of the most competitive riders in the region."
Riders who will compete at Regionals Include:
Alex Percival
Kenzie Russell
Ali Dowty
