CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston Cougar Club held its annual endowment breakfast Tuesday morning in recognition of donors who have established an endowed scholarship fund and the student-athletes who are recipients of those scholarships.

This year's breakfast was at TD Arena in the McAlister Suite and included student-athletes from across many sports as well as representatives of their endowed fund.

 Last year alone, endowed funds provided the College of Charleston Athletic Department with nearly $100,000, all of which support student-athlete scholarships. While all gifts are welcome and appreciated, the endowment program allows donors to have a lasting impact on CofC Athletics.

 These gifts directly benefit Cougar student-athletes, and create a legacy that will support CofC Athletics now and in perpetuity. Individuals who choose to make endowment gifts are helping sustain the continuing excellence of CofC Athletics. An endowment gift represents a significant investment in the future, an investment that will enable many generations of student-athletes to achieve success on the fields of play, in the classroom, and in life after intercollegiate athletics.
