On July 15, 2013, Jessica Rodgers was promoted to the position of Director of Marketing. With her new role she will oversee the marketing for men's basketball and baseball, while overseeing marketing efforts in the other major sports.
In the last year and a half, Rodgers has worked closely with volleyball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s basketball, baseball and softball.
She organized and promoted the Charleston County School District’s Education Day and Women’s Health Day at women’s basketball games last season. Her work with the Vs. Cancer foundation and the Charleston Miracle League helped integrate CofC baseball into the local community through fundraising efforts and game-day activities.
Rodgers came to CofC after working in the athletic department at Georgia State as a marketing assistant, starting in 2010. Rodgers coordinated the school's marketing efforts and game management at volleyball and softball contests, while also helping with in-game promotions for football and men's and women's basketball. She also completed her master's degree in sports administration from Georgia State in December 2011.
Rodgers was a cheerleader at Western Kentucky where she earned her undergraduate degree in business management in 2010. She served as captain of the cheerleading squad in her junior and senior seasons and was a head instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association in 2008 and 2009.
