Rodgers comes to CofC after working in the athletic department at Georgia State as a marketing assistant, starting in 2010. Rodgers coordinated the school's marketing efforts and game management at volleyball and softball contests, while also helping with in-game promotions for football and men's and women's basketball. She also completed her master's degree in sports administration from Georgia State in December 2011.

Rodgers was a cheerleader at Western Kentucky where she earned her undergraduate degree in business management in 2010. She served as captain of the cheerleading squad in her junior and senior seasons and was a head instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association in 2008 and 2009.
