Kelly Mottola has been promoted to Ticket Manager, the College of Charleston announced recently.

Mottola, a native of Middletown, N.Y., replaces Kelly Lee, who accepted a position within the Ole Miss athletic department.  Mottola served as Assistant Director of Ticket and Business Operations this past year and will be entering her third year overall starting in July.

"I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to become the Ticket Manager at the College of Charleston," said Mottola.  "The academic excellence and athletic tradition make the College of Charleston a great place to work."

As ticket manager, Mottola will be responsible for all athletic ticketing for Charleston's six revenue sports and will work closely with the Cougar Club and Marketing Department.

"Kelly did an excellent job for us as Assistant Ticket Manager and I am confident she has the skills, personality and dedication to customer service needed for the Ticket Manager role," said Director of Athletics Joe Hull. "Our Cougar fans will like working with Kelly."

Mottola graduated from Wingate in 2008 with a degree in Sports Management.  She was a four-year letter-winner on the women's soccer team.

In 2006 Mottola interned with the Minor League Baseball team the Hudson Valley Renegades.  There she worked in marketing and promotions as well as ticket sales.

In the summer of 2007, Mottola interned with the Family Circle Tennis Center in Charleston, S.C., where she assisted in marketing, operations and ticketing for the AVP Charleston Open.

She also worked with the Island Adventure Camp and helped with several concerts at the facility.  Mottola served as a game-day volunteer with the Charleston Battery as well.
