CHARLESTON, S.C. - Junior Latisha Harris led the College of Charleston women's basketball team with eight points and six rebounds, but the Cougars fell 46-23 against Davidson Saturday at TD Arena.
The Cougars (6-17, 5-9 SoCon) held the Wildcats (14-7, 10-2 SoCon) to 25.9 percent shooting from the field and held preseason Southern Conference Player of the Year Sophia Aleksandravicius to just one point.
CofC had offensive struggles of their own, as they made just two field goals in the first half and found themselves down 24-4 at the halftime break.
The Cougars came out strong in the second half as they scored seven of the first 10 points of the half, but Davidson weathered the storm. The Wildcats were led in scoring by guard Laura Murray with 13 points. The Cougars scored 19 points in the second half compared to 22 for Davidson.
The Cougars schedule doesn't get any easier as they welcome the No. 1 team in the SoCon standings, Appalachian State Monday at 7:00 p.m. at TD Arena.
