JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Despite some bad weather that caused not the entire meet to be completed, the College of Charleston women's track & field team posted some good marks at the North Florida Invitational, hosted by the University of North Florida.

Senior Emily Smith finished fourth in the high jump as she cleared 1.72 meters (5-07.75 feet). Smith's mark is the fourth best in school history for the event.

On the track senior Alyssa D'Orazio finished 11th in the 800-meter run as she crossed the finish line in 2:13.60. Teammate and freshman Hayley McMahon finished in 16th in a time of 2:15.94.

In the 400-meter dash senior Laura Call finished 24th in 1:00.19 and sophomore Christa Horrocks finished right behind her in 25th with a time of 1:00.40.

Up next the Cougars will have select athletes compete in the Stanford Invitational and the rest of the team at the Duke Invitational. Both meets will take place April 6-7.
