SPARTANBURG, S.C. - College of Charleston junior right handed pitcher Stephanie Saylors has been named the Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week for all games April 3-8 as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Saylors (Easley, S.C.) earns the honor for the third time this season after throwing two complete-game shutouts in the circle against Furman this past weekend.

In her 14 innings of work, Saylors sat down 15 hitters on strikes and only allowed six hits as she kept the Paladins off the scoreboard for a 0.00 ERA.

Saylors limited the Paladins to a .122 batting average and didn't allow a single extra-base hit.

She has now thrown complete games in her last 10 consecutive outings and has only allowed four total runs in her last 49 innings of work.

Saylors and the rest of the CofC softball team will return to action on Tuesday, April 10 when the Cougars head to Orangeburg, S.C., for a doubleheader against South Carolina State beginning at 1 p.m.
