Cougars Head to Costa Rica for Offseason Foreign Tour

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's soccer team jets down to Central America today, and will spend the next week in Costa Rica playing soccer and taking in the sights.
The voyage will count as the team's international trip, which is allowed by the NCAA once every four years per program. The squad will spend time in both San Jose and Punta Leona Beach over the duration of its stay.
The Cougars will play a total of three matches during their time abroad, beginning with a tilt against the Moravia Pro Team that won its league this season. The following day, the ladies will duke it out with the Costa Rica National Team. Their last match will take place the day before they're slated to leave when they take on the Saprissa Pro Team.
In addition to everything else, the team will also pitch in to perform community service with several of the schools in the region.
The journey is slated to last from March 5th through the 12th. The Cougars will be documenting their experiences on social media, and fans wishing to follow along can do so on Facebook (/COFCWSOC), Instagram (@cofcwsoc) and Twitter (@CofCWSoc).
